Sander Sværi
Rector
Sander Sværi is Rector of Oslo Nye Høyskole. He is an Associate Professor with academic specialization in services marketing and has extensive experience in teaching, research, and educational leadership. After ten years as Vice Rector at Kristiania University College, he assumed the position of Rector at Oslo Nye Høyskole in 2023.
Throughout his academic career, his research has primarily focused on services and tourism marketing, with particular emphasis on customer encounters and complaint behavior. His publications include studies on emotions and justice in customer journeys, customer loyalty, and how various factors influence service experiences and behavior in commercial service environments.
In addition to research and teaching, Sværi has broad experience in quality development in higher education. Over many years, he has contributed to the work of national quality assurance bodies in Norway, Denmark, and Ireland, participating in external evaluations, development processes, and quality reviews at both institutional and program levels. This work has provided him with solid insight into European quality standards, accreditation practices, and governance systems for educational quality.
