Andreas Østhagen
Associate Professor
Andreas Østhagen is a senior research fellow at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute in Oslo and works on issues concerning international politics, the Arctic and security. He is also affiliated with the High North Center at Nord University in Bodø; part of the leadership team at The Arctic Institute in Washington DC; and teaches at Oslo Nye University College.
Østhagen holds a doctorate in international politics from the University of British Columbia, Canada; a master’s degree in European politics from the London School of Economics; and a bachelor’s degree in political economics from NTNU. Previously, Østhagen has worked as an advisor at the North Norway European Office in Brussels and as a researcher at the Institute for Defence Studies in Oslo and the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington DC.
