Kjersti Skarstad

Kjersti Skarstad is an associate professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Oslo Nye University College. Skarstad works mainly on issues concerning human rights, disability rights, equality, and democracy. 

Skarstad holds a doctorate in political science from the University of Oslo (UiO), a master’s degree in Human Rights from UiO and a bachelor's degree in European studies from NTNU. Previously, Skarstad has inter alia worked as a project manager at the Norwegian Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud, as a senior advisor in Bufdir/the Ministry of Culture, she has been an associate at the Harvard Law School Project on Disability, and a senior advisor at Stiftelsen SOR.
