Nye perspektiver: Whistleblowing 2025
Nye perspektiver: Whistleblowing from multiple perspectives
Whistleblowing is a multi-dimensional phenomenon.
It is shaped by the issue raised, the sector in which it occurs, the geographical and historical context, and the relevant governmental and legal frameworks. For example, whistleblowing may concern:
- Poor working conditions in a Norwegian bank
- Bribery of officials overseeing oil contracts in Nigeria
- Healthcare fraud against insurance companies in the USA
- Evidence of foreign interference in elections in Serbia
- Failures in patient care at a UK hospital
Research highlights some common features of whistleblowing, but it is equally important to recognize variation. Only then can policy and practice be grounded in evidence.
At this conference, we will explore diverse perspectives on whistleblowing.
