Tore Pedersen
Professor
Tore veileder masterstudenter og doktorgradskandidater i grenseflaten mellom psykologi, teknologi og samfunnsvitenskap.
Forskningen hans er i hovedsak eksperimentell, og omfatter flere ulike samfunnsområder. Hovedformålet er å belyse hvordan individer og organisasjoner foretar vurderinger og beslutninger, med et spesielt fokus på psykologiske feilbedømmelser og feilslutninger – også kalt kognitiv bias.
Bakgrunn
Tore har samfunnsvitenskapelig utdanning fra Universitetet i Oslo, samt tre mastergrader i henholdsvis kognitiv psykologi, ledelse av kunnskapsorganisasjoner, og faglitterær formidling. Han har i tillegg en doktorgrad i bedømmelses- og beslutningspsykologi, og er også professor i etterretning og psykologi.
Tore er professor ved Oslo Nye Høyskole samt sjefsforsker ved Etterretningsskolen og Visiting Professor at King´s College London. Tidligere har han jobbet som stabsdirektør og forskningsdirektør ved Statens arbeidsmiljøinstitutt, og han har også vært gjesteforsker ved Karlstads universitet og gjesteprofessor ved Universitetet i Oslo. Tore har en nasjonal akkreditering som militær etterretningsspesialist og han er også Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts (RSA) UK.
